OUR members

Members of The Syndicate are seasoned executives, creatives and operators. As strategic angels, we strive to add value via our depth of expertise in marketing, finance, operations and talent.
We are digital marketers, brand experts, business strategists and investors with 10-15 years of experience managing brands, launching new products, designing strategic partnerships and operationalizing growth at both startups and large organizations.

OUR MISSION

The Syndicate’s mission is to increase diversity within the venture ecosystem by building the largest community of Black women angels, advisors and independent board members.
We aim to impact diversity on the cap table and in the board rooms of high-growth startups.

OUR INVESTMENT FOCUS

Stage: The Syndicate invests primarily in seed stage companies, but opportunistically in pre-seed and Series A.

Industry: We invest across industries, with a particular affinity for Consumer, Fintech and Media.

Thesis: While we continue to evolve our investment thesis, we typically look for founders with a clear vision and track record of “high-velocity” execution. We prefer to have some revenue and customer data or other signals of product-market fit commensurate with company life stage.

Founder Profiles: We invest opportunistically in all founders across all backgrounds and experiences. We can’t wait to hear from you.
